Before the visit, vacuum every floor well, empty the vacuum outside and wash pet bedding in hot water. Make sure your pets are treated by your vet at around the same time, or the fleas will come straight back in on them. Keep everyone off the floors until they are dry. Keep vacuuming daily for two weeks afterwards, because the vibration makes pupae hatch and meet the treated surface.
